Re: Tim from Car S.O.S.
Tim is much more of an enthusiast than his "wacky" screen presence suggests. He is very hands-on. I look forward to his potential involvement with the club - maybe he will be reading this thread?

Thursday the 18th March, Car S.O.S, episode 2. This is where Tim decides his Mustang must go and the Jensen must replace it so I hear. Got to be worth a watch??...

Re: Tim from Car S.O.S.
Also, very much looking forward to this episode. I have 2 very young daughters who unusually love Car S.O.S more than any other TV programme (Peppa Pig included). Tim and Fuzz are household heroes as a result. They currently find Daddy's Interceptor smelly and old, so after watching this I may reclaim some much sought after street cred at last!!!
If Tim and Fuzz think a Jensen Interceptor is cool so will they!

Both Dave ‘Oily Rag’ Pearce and myself helped with a car SOS reveal in 2019 (Mitsubishi EVO 4)
Both Fuzz & Tim were really helpful and easy to talk too throughout the day. It really is an on screen presence that Tim plays well.
Looking forward to seeing if Tim does fulfil his dream

Re: Tim from Car S.O.S.
Sounds like he sold the Mustang to buy the Interceptor, but doesn't have it yet. I think might be a Mk2 type guy.

Re: Tim from Car S.O.S.
Pure speculation on my part.....the SOS trailer for the new series included a picture of a MK1 Interceptor (so maybe this version hooked him?)
The MK1 Interceptor at Hexagon Classics (PVC111G) has recently disappeared from adverts, so I shall guess it's that one.
Why?, well it was previously restored by Colin Holley (albeit finished by others as it's not a 100% Colin job on the fitting up) - so is an excellent basis to improve (it has Sundym glass to front screen and quarterlights but clear glass elsewhere, the fit of the outer sill trims is relatively poor - might even be later versions, it has some small mostly superficial rust scabs on many panels, front grill hasn't been refreshed, driver's seat and dash need cosmetics, and the chrome is a mixture of old and new).
If only Tim knew a mate with a body shop who could add some value to it (the mechanicals have already been restored).
No doubt, it wont be long before it's proved I'm talking rollocks.

Re: Tim from Car S.O.S.
Looks like a 1969 car will be featured in Episode 4.
Anyone know of a Nick from Southampton?

I'm with Stu on this. Definitely a Mk1 sort of guy! Stu you may even have nailed the exact car as well!
Have you seen our stolen Jensen FF 119/011 https://twitter.com/jensenffdotcom
Re: Tim from Car S.O.S.
No, no, no. 383 with 70s styling. Or an SP. Or whatever is up for sale at the moment. But he's not Mk1.

Re: Tim from Car S.O.S.
As Pymmie said a really nice bloke when you meet him and a real enthusiast, my guess is that if he drove an SP thats what he would then buy.
