Can we bring back the Joke thread?

I am curious if the moderators can restore the Joke thread? when I do a search on the new website it shows multiple links and partial jokes. When I click on the links i get a dead end. Is there anyone else that would like it restored?

Jon do you recall it being on one of the spammers you reported to me? I can find them it is search but can't seem to post. Was it part of a forum or an independent forum page. In other words was in in the General discussion, members only area or on its own.

I seem to recall someone/some people took offence at the content resulting in moderator/JOC official comment.

It appeared to precipitate a decline in posts, general fun and merriment.

Perhaps moving it to members only section (if it's not already) and including a content warning at the top of the thread would help resurrect it.

I will check on a backup copy I have as to where the forum was and then try and find a backup with it on.

I know I will have it from the migration but it would be good to get a more recent copy.

I need to get membership reminders / texts sorted out for Darren today so it will be later this week.

If you haven't already renewed please do so now to make it easy for us, also if you don't want to renew please let us know so we can not chase you.

The posts were still there however the topic hadn't been loaded for some reason. I will investigate further, some of the feedback was about missing 541 technical posts and I'm sure this won't be the only one.

They won't come up in the search as I need to rebuild the search index but will do this when I have restored / converted the other missing topics.

I created the missing topic for the joke thread manually, there is now an issue where it gives a needs approval error unless you are Steve Hickey....

I will have a look later but have created a new jokes 2021 topic.

I need to get to the bottom of this for some of the missing technical topic but need to finish off some other stuff first.
