Jensen factory photos
Hi Guys,
I came across some great photos of the Jensen factory in its heyday of Interceptor production.
I recall that a few photos have been posted over the years but its difficult to find them using the search facility.
Does anyone have any that they can post here to keep them in one place?
I must speak to John Lane to see if he has any in the archives information.
The below photo is a prime example and really depicts the atmosphere at the time.

Hello,
Here are three more. One i think with Kevin Beattie and a factory FF in the service area ? Also an outside shot of a line of interceptors bound for the States.

Some more factory photographs. These were taken on a visit to the factory by the motoring journalist Douglas Armstrong. Some of them were used to illustrate an article of his in Speed World magazine Vol.2 No.23 published weekending December 7 1968.

Hello Grant, glad you found the photographs interesting. I don't really have a background, just an ordinary Interceptor owner and Jensen buff. I've only been posting for a week. I wish I'd joined the forum earlier as I'm finding it interesting.

Re: Jensen factory photos
Could this old gentleman with his planishing hammer in a Jensen advert from an American magazine , be the same man that is in two of the photos posted by Keith and perhaps one posted by myself ?

Re: Jensen factory photos
He is certainly doing a lot of planishing, but there is a lot of planishing to be done!
I’ll buy that theory!
I’m sure they didn’t pay a male model to pose in that advert!

PS. On a serious note, there was an article written in this month’s JOC Magazine by an employee. If anyone knows him, maybe they could show him the pictures and get his opinion!

This photo's part of the Interceptor II fold out brochure produced in 1969. It has several shots from the production line. I thought this one was interesting as there's a picture of the comedian Marty Feldman on the wall, as glimpsed through the Interceptor. He had a popular TV show ' It's Marty ' running at the time.

Re: Jensen factory photos
Amazing how recognisable he is, even in a small smudgy photo. Until I saw this post, I had forgotten that I passed him on a London street when I was about 6. My dad told me he was a famous man, which I was very ready to accept as he had an exceptionally strange appearance, with his bulging eyes.
