It doesn't. He's made this up himself.

A certain charm I suppose, if it was an Interceptor and not an FF.

It even states "Jensen FF" on the underside of the model and he still got it wrong...

All that trouble and he got it wrong!
Great effort though.

if it's die cast it's of a very low quality, having models of bburago of some of my cars, looking better and costing around € 30-50

Not sure what point you're making Wolfie.

The Dinky model was from the late '60s, early '70s, and was perfectly acceptable in the day. The current Oxford models look fantastic in comparison and make your Burago models look rather basic.

But that's progress for you.

Hi Keith,

do you really think it's such old - for me it's more looking as a remake?

With bburago you're right, they're not sophisticated but looking nice and I like to have some of my cars in my living room...
My opinion is/was, this offer is overprized - that's what I wanted to point out.

I like to collect the real one's - but they're not fitting in my living room (only one)

Have a nice evening

an addition to my last post,

you'll find the company in the internet, but in fact it seems to be a fake, used by a german based dealer working mostly via ebay, average price for similar models around € 40, if it's really from the 60's it may be worth it, but if you're looking at the picture there is a second one in the back right and all completely covered in plastic blister???
I may be wrong -c heck the internet yourself...

Hi Wolfgang, the actual model is a standard Dinky Jensen FF, model number 188. There are currently over 30 of them for sale on ebay UK (see here: https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from ... =Dinky+188" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;). I think it was launched by Dinky in about 1968/1969. At the time it came in either yellow or as a kit you could assemble yourself and paint any colour you chose.

There is quite a trade in modified rebuilt diecast car models.

Code 1 – Standard catalogue and/or promotional models that are factory produced and have any advertising/promotional decals applied in the factory.
Code 2 – Models that are used for promotional purposes but advertising/promotional decals are applied outside the factory by a 3rd party.
Code 3 – Models that are adapted from an original factory made model (i.e. colour change) by a 3rd party and have advertising/promotional decals applied by the 3rd party.

Most adverts cryptically mention "Code 3" in the heading, but this one seems to be sold by a widow of the creator, who doesn't quite know what she is selling?

A Code 3 model, with customised paint, added accessories and a freshly designed and printed box, can be great fun but I don't think they have much value as a collectors' piece.

I referred to CTS as company, this trading company is offering a lot of (pseudo?) Dinky models in the internet (ebay)
If someone buys it ok. - but I have doubts about the value...

If somebody of you knows who si selling a nice Interceptor MKIII model (convertible preferred) I'd like to have one for my vitrine :D

Have a nice day

And it's a wrong guess.

As stated above, it's a "Code 3", meaning it's an original 1960s model that has been repainted and offered in newly designed packaging. It's actually quite well done (if it was an Interceptor), but look at original Thrushbusters models on Ebay for a price comparison, and they are the real thing.

I never had the original box, so was not aware that this model was billed as Thrushbuster!

Do you really think it's an original Dinky?
For me it looks more like a cheap remake out of China (costs you less than € 5 per each), the cartonage (if you order 100+) around € 10 per each if you're providing the design in digital form (my knowledge from one of my best friends in Belgium who is CTO of the biggest print shop here), put them in a steam cooker at 180 degrees for one minute and afterwards treat them with a hair brush from your wife - then they're looking old fashioned, put all together - and ready for sale.
Costs you less than 10 minutes work, investment around € 20max, and your'e earning around GBP 379 (all per each) :D :D :D
I'd like to have this ROI on my cars...
Jensen Interceptor MKIII convertible
Ford GT 40
Ferrari F430 F1 (sold)
Lotus Super Seven (Westfield)
Mercedes SLK AMG
and some others...
