There is a member that pops up regularly that has been carrying out some buying and selling tactics that have got under my skin.
He offers items for sale, accepts payment and then holds on to his items, only when pressed hard does he dispatch them.
In my situation he made offers (low) on items I was selling, when I refused his offer he then made another offer under a different name, this time I accepted the offer as some time had passed and just wanted to pass the item on. Once an offer is accepted payment and dispatch is usually swift, so when a week passed by I sent a payment reminder, which was ignored and his account subsequently deleted.
Strangely enough on carrying out some detective work I discovered multiple accounts that were linked to the same person.
I’m not an aggressive person but this guy has cheesed me off.
Has anyone else had similar experiences?
I’m up to three other members that have had sour dealings with this guy so far.
Normally being a very trusting person I am now mindful of people and their unscrupulous activities.

As you're a member, you can access the "Member's Only Discussion" section.

There's a thread running there. It may be a similar scenario.

Hi, Parky65

Can I ask you to e-mail Chris Reed and myself at gs@joc.org.uk and it@joc.org.uk with details of the person in question and good purchased / not yet received please. We will look into this matter and revert back to you. We take all matters of complaints seriously and will endeavour to assist where we can.

This sounds like the same person I am having trouble with here on the forum, I like to be gentle to all men’s and express my commiserations to all that have suffered at the hands of this low-life.

All the very best to all the honest people

A low-life is a term for a person who is considered morally unacceptable by his or her community.

Wikipedia

a person who lives like trash, and doesn't care to improve themselves.

Urban Dictionary

1: a person of low social status
2 : a person of low moral character

Merriam Webster

A lowlife is a no-good bum or a criminal, someone who deserves contempt. A car thief and a cruel bully could both be described as lowlifes.

Vocabulary.com

the life and behaviour of people who are involved in criminal or immoral activities

Idoceonline.com

... harsh :? We‘ll see if it is justified.

Well I didn’t know it covered all those but I’m glad it does, there is nothing HARSH when you have had money stolen from you.

We will see when the board of this forum proves it, not just in my case but for many others.

We (the JCC) are assisting the JOC in trying to get the unresolved issues (including yours) taken care of, since Thomas is a member of our club and we've been in quite a bit of contact over the last years. I don't know the full scope of this and have not done any business with him. I personally have not seen any evidence of fraudulent intentions until now, but it seems clear that he may not be the easiest person to deal with. Whether he is indeed a low-life/thief, as you claim, or rather would benefit from someone to help assist in his business is to be shown. We (the JCC) have a rather limited scope of actions we can take, and our role as members of the JCC committee is certainly not that of a jury or judge.
