My Interceptor caught fire!

Post by Van833 »

I decided to replace the rear view mirror courtesy light bulb. Put in a new LED light, reconnected the battery and smoke started pouring out if the mirror. I isolated the battery and no harm was done. I had not realised that the LED festoon bulb was a bit fatter and had shorted out. Silly me!

Some will also be polarity sensitive.

I always get mine from Duncan @ classiccarleds.co.uk

Glad no damage was done.
