Polycarbonate

Post by Ian Northeast »

Hi all,
Apologies to the moderators if this is in the wrong place, but I wanted to reach the widest possible audience.

I need to replace my rear and side windows with polycarbonate, does anyone know of anywhere that may be able to help?

I saw one of the Car programs doing this recently but can't remember which (probably Car SOS ) but the firm was in the north and produced windscreens for the touring racing car fraternity. I remember thinking that I must remember that as it could be useful for 541 owners but have forgotten the company and program already.

About 30 years ago I used Thompsons to make rear windows for 541s as they were unobtainable. They offered a discount so I had a batch of 10 made that I sold to the JOC. They cost £10 each!! Very helpful firm, glad they are still in business 8)
