Chasing classic cars
Stutz Bearcat. While the Stutz was being unloaded look at the car in the background. I wonder why he has never had it on the program?

Re: Chasing classic cars
Well spotted Steve, like you I also watch the programme but missed this one, especially being a convertible. The only thing I can say in my defence was the 'side-on' view, pity it wasn't from the front.
Re: Chasing classic cars
Terrible pic but looks like a Series IV.. wheels and possibly door handles?.. good catch Stevey

Did anyone see the new episode of Fantom Works last night?
Couple of seconds of a white Interceptor Coupe in the background of the workshop. Looked clean and sharp.

Re: Chasing classic cars
What happened to the Interceptor that Salvage Hunters were going to restore last year?
It hasn't reappeared since they bought it. Most of the cars they've "restored" have ended up on ebay and are still for sale!

Apparently it is proving a harder restoration than they thought! Planned to still appear in a later series (series 25?).

Re: Chasing classic cars
To be fair, it is not meant to be about restoration, it is about maximising the profit by making well judged changes to the cars. Sometimes, like with the Fiat 130, it might become a labour of love and a total restoration.

My lips are sealed. But if you buy me a pint (or few) at a nice pub over the weekend I'll spill the beans.Oxymoron wrote:What happened to the Interceptor that Salvage Hunters were going to restore last year?

It hasn't worked too well then as, I've seen some of the cars for sale on ebay at reduced prices.VFK44 wrote:To be fair, it is not meant to be about restoration, it is about maximising the profit by making well judged changes to the cars. Drew should listen to his partner Paul more often or stick to Country House furniture!
