I like to have discussions (also controverse) here with highly educated people, everybody has his mindset about the biggest challenges we're facing at the moment: COVID19, refugees, economic impact. As long as it's far away from conspiracy theories, radicalism and rassism. The nearby future is the biggest challenge I ever faced in my life - one small story from yesterday. I was first day in my small company, first thing my partner said: we have to separate the tools for everybody working here and afterwards to disinfect them, otherwise we're locked down again...
And sorry guys - we here in the forum are on the sunny side of life, having the luxury of owning Jensens (and many of us other cars also), if you have the space for these cars you have your own house - so we're not caring about our financial future...
We all are mature - so let's think in common sense about on how to support the younger generation to surmount these crisises.

That's what I would like to discuss on a high level, but also always happy seeing nice pictures from nice cars (or parts) and nice ladies :D

Wolfgang,
It's 14 months since you made that post.
In that time, hundreds of millions of people have suffered because of the effect from lockdowns and restrictions, not directly from the virus itself.
Various governments have imposed rules of dubious value, which of course the politicians and the wealthy or well-connected are free to ignore.
I'm not into 'Conspiracy Theories' but I am into trying to establish the truth.
And you won't get the truth from governments or the mainstream media.
It was clear from the beginning, to any intelligent person, that lockdowns were not the way to go.
The sane, and well-established procedure during a pandemic should have been to protect and isolate the vulnerable, and let everyone else go about their business as normal.

Let's talk about risk from covid.
4 million, allegedly, dead from covid so far.
(Over 2 flu seasons.)
8 billion population.
That's one person in two thousand.
Of those, about 95% were very old and/or very sick.
They were already on their way to meet their maker, with an average age at death of 82. Slightly higher than the average lifespan.
The true number of deaths from covid may have been only 200,000.
Survival rate: 99.9975%.
Or, one death per 40,000 people.
(You can't establish a recovery rate as the true level of covid infections will never be known.)
The relentless push to jab young people is quite insane as they are at almost zero risk of death from covid, and in the future, this period of Covid Mania, really Mass Hysteria, and the way young people in particular were treated will be looked upon as the Crime of the Century.
(For young people, the risk of harm from the vaccines is greater than from contracting covid, regardless of whatever the BBC might say.)

Oh yes, I know something about that, Colin, but I didn't want to mention it and get labelled a 'Conspiracy Theorist'.
It targets Western democracies, and Australia and NZ.
The aim is to turn all working people into Smurfs.

This really is so obvious, and the effect, any damages caused, seem more likely to to affect women, with "vaccine" remnants noted in ovaries etc, not just around the injection site as had been hoped. Another natural discriminatory factor, women having a narrower fertility window, they have a limited timespan to find a mate if they want an offspring. This pushes them more strongly to get vaccinated than men. Young single women hoping to find holiday romance and possibly a partner are lining up and getting jabs to ease travel requirements and save money.

My outlook is the same as Adrians, I agree with your post 100% Adrian, I don't understand "WHY" or "WHAT" it is all about, but I agree that it is all aload of blown out of proportion Ballony!!Image
I have also been told that as of Sept 15th London is going into Total Lockdown..Let's see if that becomes trueImage

That sounds weird to me, John.
Both the holiday romance and rushing to get jabbed.
Holding back from getting jabbed would seem prudent.
So far there has not been a single example of a woman getting jabbed, getting pregnant, and delivering a healthy baby.

The trouble with this Googling is that you can easily find a website to confirm your own prejudices.

Which returns me to my original theory about trade causing wars or lack of trade. The war 2 was really caused by countries closing their borders. USA was the most guilty. When trade stops poverty begins, rioting, looting by people who have nothing to lose, eventual collapse of certainly democratically elected goverments. The current pandemic is not much worse than the 1918-20 "Spanish flue". It eventually burnt itself out just like plagues in the past. However the world is now awash with trillions of debt which can never be repaid so many cans will be kicked down the road.....more money printed, reserve banks having to buy up goverment bonds. No inflation now which is bad for every economy. Almost non exsistant interest rates forcing up house prices to levels where a whole generation of young people will be denied home ownership. Poverty traps, the wealthy get richer and China asserting herself will all lead to eventual chaos. An American president who by any assesment is declining (along with America) will be a gift to many world leaders. The future is roaming among us. Don't make for the hills as the Chinese are already there. Sleep well.

Kenny,
There is absolutely no comparison in terms of scale, between the present so-called 'Pandemic' and that of 1918.
I call Covid a FAKE pandemic.
Death rate one in 2,000 people, of whom 95% were already very old and very sick.

https://givingcompass.org/article/1918- ... f2EALw_wcB

The 1918 pandemic was about one hundred times as deadly in terms of deaths per million of the population and it killed lots of younger people which the present pandemic does not.
In fact, if you were an evil tyrant wanting to cull the world's population, you might want a virus which overwhelmingly killed the old and the sick, Kissinger's 'Useless Eaters'.
The Duke of Edinburgh is supposed to have said that after he dies, he would like to be re-incarnated as a deadly virus in order to solve the world's overpopulation problem.
I agree with you that, (in developed countries), the rich are getting richer, and the poor are getting poorer.
In certain developing countries, until the pandemic, their economies had been growing, a rapidly-increasing middle class, and they have many large infrastructure projects on the go, ironically, some of them with financial assistance and imported labour from China.
