What has Switzerland got to do with this. How has this %$&# thread been hijacked by chateues for ex or current drug dealers and the like? We are all sleep walking into VERY troubled times. I am depressed that you are not terrified by the prospects of no more welfare and Jensens being hard to get good money for.Kenny38

first we have to get finally control over the virus until having a vaccine, what politics are doing now trying to get back to 'normal life' is the wrong way - we'll face the second increase in infection rate and following the second lockdown, afterwards being astonished how many companies are bankcrupt and the incredible number of unemployed people.
It may be a situation like post WW2 but much worse because countries like US had been rich enough (and not bombed) to help us in Europe, some small countries like Switzerland and Luxemburg played afterwards the role of the bank for the countries afterwards forming Europe, since 1949 with the haircut of currency it was a permanent story of success ending in the EU giving stability for my whole generation...

we have to take the challenge, first a haircut because no country will be able to pay the debts back (otherwise I suspect we'll face a further war), then let's do a good job and in 5-7 years we're in the same position as in 2019 but hopefully more sustainable and not living only by turnover financed by debts...

we're selling cars again and it works quite well - look at cpi-sportwagen a partner company of mine, just buying a second service truck to provide home service for vehicles.
Jensen Interceptor MKIII convertible
Ford GT 40
Ferrari F430 F1 (sold)
Lotus Super Seven (Westfield)
Mercedes SLK AMG
and some others...

Good one, Wolfgang. You are right that most debt will never be retired by most countries. But that said the USA can just print money as everyone wants the almighty dollar.....including China. The USA owes China a trillion dollars in bonds. What would happen if the USA defaults? The ole USA has literally wasted trillions an trillions of dollars on stupid wars which they never win or can't finish. Imagine what that money could have done for the country. Health care for all anyone? for a start.
We are enslaved to making war materials. I suppose it keeps industries afloat but what a waste. China is playing the same pissing game. We will all be rooned. Kenny38

America would not, and will not print dollars to pump into the health service (such as it is), or anything else, except to promote the arms industry. Dollars would not be diverted from that into anything else. But, I do think the times are a changing, and people will start to make a difference.....not the politicians.
Now burning my soap-box to keep warm :D

Definitely nothing of that nonsense, Grant.

It is a time of great uncertainty but not for conspiracies. They never helped.

Just my two pennies and I am out of this thread again.
