So long as the modifications are limited to just the outer body panels, you could argue that the car is still putrightable at a later date.
Does anybody know what wonderful changes the owner has in mind for the drivetrain and the cabin?
He did say he was keeping the 440, which probably has more potential than anything you would swap in power and refinement wise. Petrol must be cheap un Dubai right now! I agree with your comments on the body panels. Would be nice to be out there driving it as a daily driver.

Going back to the original picture what is the attraction of having cars painted in polished primer?

There is an Audi S6 near me in it and it looks like they could not decide on what color to order so had it in primer.
