I guy has posted this picture on twitter of his dad with his pride and joy Registration JW0 32L
The chassis number is 138/8451 originally silver grey.
Calvers book shows last registered 2003.
Has anyone any ideas of the whereabouts??

I looked in Calvers book under Interceptor 111 originally and found the chassis number there. This is duplicated in the SP section of the book aswell.
I should have been up bit more up on my Jensen knowledge and spotted the full louvred bonnet

At least we can give this guys son a bit more info, and better news, his Dads car was a SP
Grant they wouldn’t have been Tesco’s shoes, they would have been M&S shoes

WOW, a proper SP! Vinyl roof. Your Dad certainly was THE MAN back in the day. Fantastic discovery that it's an SP!!!!
Proper stone walls. "I know what I have got." Fastest car on the block for sure. You can't even see the door shut lines on that baby. Just look at those GKN alloys. They look gorgeous. Period photos of new cars look so nice.
I discovered that my family had 3 or 4 Interceptors from new. Mk1s and MK2s, sadly never an SP or an FF, nor a manual one as far as I can tell. Still trying to figure out which Mk1 it was. Haven't found a photo.

Thank you so much for your help. I am now on the forum.
The photo was probably taken in 1974. The car left the factory in April 73 and my dad had it from new, bought from ADR Garage in Cwmbran, Wales. It is a pipe in his mouth (he burnt holes in the driver seat of many of our cars) and most likely deck shoes on his feet as he also had a yacht at the time. As for the hair cut, well...
I have found out today via Richard Calver that she was re-registered at some point as he was contacted in 2003 by a chap considering buying SP 138/8451 (with engine number 3C10895) and at the time it looked like she had been given a re-spray (still silver grey), the black vinyl roof was gone and the plate was UEY 245L. Picture attached.
If anyone recognises the other plate or any of this rings any other bells, I would love to hear from you.

Jon, I take it you have done a DVLA check on the new registration?
I’m guessing you have, interesting it says the last time a V5 was issued was in 2012
You could always try a heart felt letter to the DVLA saying your trying to find the current owner or could they contact him on your behalf. Not really sure how it all works, but I suppose there is a chance.

Welcome Jon, I know we spoke briefly on the other thread about your Dad and his car.. I hope you took NO offence with comment about the shoes .. It's such a great Old Pic, there is something so lovely about old pics, people smoking in them and thrown in for good measure a Jensen too!! .. Your Dad was obviously a very ambitious & successful man, he had plenty of taste when it comes to lovely looking cars.. he was seemingly doing all the right things in my book .. I do hope so much you get some sort of outcome in your chase.. something will come to light at somepoint, I had an Interceptor when I was 18 and am 56 now, I started a thread about it around 10 years ago and a chap joined a few months ago and said his Dad used to own it before me!! .. I hope it doesn't take that long for your chase obviously, but, I believe something will come to light at some-point for you .. John W - I never realised it at the time ( I was 6), all I knew was that absolutely loved that car and was really cheesed off with my dad when he traded it in. To have 3 or 4 though must have been amazing. Hope you manage to track down the MK1.
Eddie - I never knew that you could find out such stuff from DVLA. If a V5 was last issued in 2012, that gives real hope that she might still be around taking a breather in a shed somewhere or something. To have jumped forwards from 1974 to 2003 to 2012 in just a few days is fantastic. Thank you.
Grant - Absolutely no offence taken, the dress sense and the car never matched but if you had a car like that in 1974, I suppose you dressed however you wanted to, pipe 'n all. [Laughing emoji - haven't figured out how to work them yet] Your thread has some fabulous posts and some great history. When you said you had an interceptor at 18, I assumed (wrongly) maybe you dad had it when you were 18, not that it was your car!! Well done you. I hope I get lucky with some leads for my dad's car. I know I have started a journey that may ultimately prove fruitless in terms of finding 138/8451, but some great tips picked up already.

Just got a screenshot off the DVLA site showing the SORN declaration. Presumably that means that someone somewhere is keeping UEY 245L off road.
Any way you can add UEY 245L after the JWO 32L of this thread just in case it helps someone to spot it?

You might just get a result of some sort, particularly knowing that the editor, Danny Hopkins has an Interceptor himself
