Jim,

I have XVM 449L, 128/4886. It was, I think, LKU444L originally. Original colour Jensen Yellow (The 'primrose' one) with black vinyl roof and black interior. Now in combination of rust and Rover Nightfire red!

Eric

Thank you for your response on Chassis No 128/4886 and for the advice on the former Registration No LKU 444 L which i have not come across yet
I have the original Registration No for this car as KTU 888 L
I have the car recorded as displayed at the Bicester Flywheel in July 2016

Interestingly the Rover Nightfire Red colour rings a bell and i will check to see if i have any information on this colour that may link it to this car

I will message you again if i find any additional information on your car

Kind regards

Krusty

Thank you for your message regarding HNX 999 K

Nothing comes up for that Registration NUmber from the Richard CAlver information or from the 350+ unallocated Registration numbers that i have yet to allocate to a Chassis Number
I will add this to my list and message you if anything comes up

If the car was registered in May 1972 and it was a RHD, it would fall in the Chassis Band numbers between 128/4641 to 128/4706
I have information on 6 cars within this range
I also note that circa 15 cars in this range had private registration numbers that may have been transferred on and the car re-allocated this number
I assume that you do not have a Chassis Number ?

I note that you currently own 128/4382 - JLO 78 K undergoing a respray in Velvet Purple

Kind regards

136/8358 originally Aquarius Blue, resprayed some time around 1984 so is now red. Beige interior.
Originally registered GOV 3L
The 2nd owner registered it as RCR 60 in February 1977 then, when he changed cars in December 1981 (the Interceptor now quite rusty in places) he retained the personalised plate for his new car, a Scimitar.
136/8358 was then registered TUT 89L which is the current registration number.

Jim, is it only UK registration numbers you are after or also International registration numbers? I only see UK reg. nrs. on the list (I think).

Hi Jim,
I'm a little surprised to find 872 AYL on your list as I thought it was quite well known in the club but this is FF 127/273 which has been in our possession since August 2006. It's original Reg is not known but it has had this since at least 1973.

Martin - Mem No 8905

Thank you for your response in respect of 136/8358
Apologies for the delay in responding - i was away for a few days

I had a query against the Registration No of TUT 89 L as to ifc this was 136/8514, although i had Registration NO SCK 482 L against this Chassis No and also in your ownership, together with CMB 898 Chassis No 119/100
Is this still correct for these two cars?

In respect of Chassis No 136/8358, i have details of this car being for sale in the JOC Magazine 175 05/06.2004 for £13,000 by Andrew Sarson of Loughborough and again in JOC Magazine 184 11/12.2005 but now for £8,000 again by Andrew Sarson
Mileage recorded as 83,000 miles in both adds in Red with a Red roof and beige interior and in the earlier add with a modified bonnet

I note by 11.2007 the car is in your ownership but now with a Black Vinyl Roof, Driver/Passenger Door Mirrors and Front Fog/Spot Lights

I have no information on the car with its Registration No of RCR 60

If i find any additional information on any of your three cars i will message you again

Kind regards

Kees

Thank you for your response and apologies for the delay in replying - i have been away for a few days

I am interested in all Jensen Interceptor Registration and Chassis Numbers - UK and Abroad
As you can appreciate it is a little more difficult for me to track the history on cars that are overseas - although i do have information on a number of cars where i have been able to link them to both a Chassis Number and Member Number or Owner
I also have a large amount of historical information on cars that have moved both ways that i have not yet been able to link to specific cars and remain keen to try to link these to Chassis Numbers and Registration Numbers and if they cars still exist

Any information that you have, i would be very pleased to receive

If you require any information on a specific Chassis No please ask and i will check to see what i have

I have recently been able to reunite an original UK advert, to an Owner in the USA for the benefit of him retaining it with the car that he now ownsKind regards

Many thanks for your response in respect of 872 AYL - Chassis No 127/273
Apologies for the delay in replying but i have been away for a few days

You are correct in that 872 AYL is very well known within the Jensen circle but i had not been able to link the Registration No to a Chassis No and your reply has now allowed me to do so

I also have no information yet on the cars original registration number and as the car has been wearing this number since circa 1973, i am not sure that the historical information i have on many cars goes back quite that far (only circa 1978 at present)

I do note however that this car was advertised for sale in the JOC Magazine Nos 178 of 11/12.2004 and again in 185 of 01/02.2006, 186 of 03/04.2004 and 188 of 07/08.2004
Offered for sale by James Marwick (Mem No 4812) of the Orkney Islands
Asking price of £8,500 in the last three adverts

As the owner of the car since 08.2006 the car has appeared in many articles since

If i find any additional information on your car prior to your ownership, i will message you again

KInd regards

As a post script on 872 AYL - 127/273
Advertised as Cassis with off white interior (beige) and with 56,000 miles in the first advert
Advertised with 59,000 miles and with an 8 track in the later adverts
