Hi All

I have been recording information on all Jensen Interceptors
Before anyone comments, i am aware that we have Mark 1 Records and i believe FF

What i am trying to do is allocated Registration Nos against the relative Chassis Nos & also current Owner Membership Nos if possible
Registration numbers have changed on cars over the years

Would Jensen Owners be interested in helping me?

I will list 25 registration numbers as a starter for a response

VHX 949 M
BLK 41 H
UEJ 297 M
44 RPL
3931 K
4751 PP
GRA 72
MCE 5917
637 CR
JEN 4
963 SPD
7 LMA
XVM 449 L
HMS 300 N
XWP 433 N
777 FN
SJR 171 / CT 50 / 74 KH / PJL 2 / PJO 3 P
UTH 337
HOE 9 L
RNK 498 M
191 HLE
DIB 3449
EAW 719 L
HBJ 39
PMF 59 L

The last information that i have on some of these cars can date back almost 40 years, but some are much more recent

In exchange for any responses on these registration numbers, i will provide any information that i have on the information of the car
I also have historical photographs and adverts on a number of cars that i would also be very happy to share

In total i have some 360 registrations already that i have not been able to allocate to a specific chassis number

Alternatively if owners would like to send me either their chassis number, registration number and/or membership number, i would be happy to share any information that i have found

As you may have noticed from the cover of the latest club mag, HBJ 39 is now on a GT, which is for sale. I suspect that the number will be retained by its current owner. The Interceptor it came from is now registered as 1 HBJ.

And are you sure its XWP 433N and not M?

Thank you for your response

I was aware that HBJ 39 was now on a GT but it was originally on an Interceptor, so the confirmation that it is now HBJ 1 ties these two together - thank you
i don't suppose you know the Chassis No for this car?

I identified Reg No XWP 433 N from the JOC Magazine No 160 11/12.2001
Neither M or N appear on my Registration number check

Kind regards

My Interceptor Mk3 has registration KLL 920N and chassis number 2240-1277. It was first registered as HGN 888N by Guy Salmon on 17 January 1975 and sold to Grays Sheet Metal Works. A change of owner 7 January 1980 had reg. changed to 00 7046. 8 July 1997 car was with Finchley Lane Car Sales and reg. became KLL 920N.

David

Thank you for your reply and details of your car

I had your car recorded under your membership number and current registration number, but had not been able to allocate it to a Chassis number, which i have now done, thank you
I note that your car appears to have been in your ownership since circa 2011, and has performed well in the club concours

I note that your car was Copper Brown originally
If i obtain any further information on the early history of your car under its previous registration numbers, i will advise you

Kind regards

Interceptor Mk.III chassis no. 2240 1729
Original colour: Red
Original registration: LGP 60P

Previous owner Mitch Fraser changed the registration number to 3507 MF, and had the car resprayed teal blue at Cropredy. I purchased the car in 2019, and have reverted back to the original registration LGP 60P.

Andy

Thank you for your reply in respect of 136/8620 Reg No TBY 232 L
I note your car was owned by Barry Farmer from 1980 to 1996 and by Charlie Hunter from 1996 to 2007
After this, i note it as being for sale by Cropedy Bridge Garage from November 2006 to June 2007 for £17,995
I have a note that you purchased your car in 2015 and embarks on a total restoration
I have seen your magnificent car

If i track any further information on your car i will advise

Kind regards

Mike

Thank you for your reply regarding Reg No 3507 MF and now reverted back to LGP 60 P
That has now clarified the Chassis No for the information that i had on this car

I assume that you are aware that the car won a number of awards
The car was voted 2nd best Interceptor/FF in 2008 - JOC Magazine 201
It took part in the Cape Wrath trip to SCotland in 2009 - JOC Magazine 203
The car was voted 5th best Interceptor/FF in 2009 - JOC Magazine 207
The car also appeared in JOC Magazines 227 and 231 prior to your ownership
In the JOC Magazine 231 the colour of the car was referred to as Reef Blue

I hope that you are enjoying your car

If i obtain any early information on your car, i will let you know

Kind regards
