Hi,
There should be a four-digit age code on the side of the tyre. The first two digits of the code represent the week of production during the year (from 1 to 52) and the second two digits represent the year of manufacture.

If your tyre has a three digit age code then it is time to worry. The 3 digit code was in use on Tyres prior to 2000. The first 2 digits were the week and the last digit was the year. So confusion if a 6 was 86 or 96, there was x and diamonds to assist but it was changed to 4 digits from 2000

Nice one Colin
No, it tells you which manufacturing facility made the tyre. Just about every tyre factory across the world has a 2 digit code: http://www.tiresafetygroup.com/tire-dot ... d-country/
