The new steering wheel looks great. So much better than (the same size) Moto-Lita.
All I need now is the correct center!

NO Dunc, you've been on the Sauce As good as it looks and it is 100% correct for the year of Phils Mk2, it's not as nice as the later Mk2 Wheel and |I won't have you say otherwise!!,LOOK>>>cannonball wrote:That is probably the nicest wheel Jensen fitted it looks great Phil and I like the centre though not correct

Hey Grant
Lovely steering wheel, but why do you have a table tennis ball for the gear knob?

Re: Interesting Info
Size, the later MK2 wheels are smaller. Grant being the steering wheel expert will know the exact measurement I am sure.

Re: Interesting Info
Phils one is the same as your one francis which is an inch in diameter bigger than the one on my car, you can instantly see it on the spoke gap where it joins the leather rim, the plain flat face on the end of each spoke just before the part where the leather wraps the spoke Francis My Ole Fruit, Phils is referred to as a 15" wheel and mine a 14" one although those sizes don't seem to be exact with a tape measure >>>Frankoid wrote:Can you explain the differences between the 2 steering wheels Grant

Re: Interesting Info
Hi all,
As Grant explained to me (I think he must be having his tea at the moment) the main differences are:-
1) Early wheels have wider spokes where they join the outer rim.
2) The center piece is shaped differently (concave between the arms on the early, versus convex on the late). Presumably related to different sized centers.
3) The late wheels are 14", early ones are 15". According to the Calver book the large wheel obscured the indicators hence the change.

Re: Interesting Info
I hadn't ever noticed that Phil.. and I have one hanging on the wall in my barn too .. Learn something new everyday and that is good stuff. I think but I need to look now but I think your wheel Phil should have the Alloy Cup type centre piece then maybe?Fishyboy wrote:Hi all,

Try all the usual Jensen suppliers Todd, if they don't have them, what about Nitewing out there or K&D?todd wrote:Where can I get a black rubber brake pedal cover just like the one in the photo?
