The new steering wheel looks great. So much better than (the same size) Moto-Lita.
All I need now is the correct center!

Hey Grant
Lovely steering wheel, but why do you have a table tennis ball for the gear knob?

Size, the later MK2 wheels are smaller. Grant being the steering wheel expert will know the exact measurement I am sure.

Phils one is the same as your one francis which is an inch in diameter bigger than the one on my car, you can instantly see it on the spoke gap where it joins the leather rim, the plain flat face on the end of each spoke just before the part where the leather wraps the spoke Francis My Ole Fruit, Phils is referred to as a 15" wheel and mine a 14" one although those sizes don't seem to be exact with a tape measure  >>>

And the reason for the funny golf ball gear knob Phil is that is from my Manual Gearbox and I couldn't help screw it on this Mk2 In preparation Phil.. I am sorry for my sadness

Hi all,
As Grant explained to me (I think he must be having his tea at the moment) the main differences are:-
1) Early wheels have wider spokes where they join the outer rim.
2) The center piece is shaped differently (concave between the arms on the early, versus convex on the late). Presumably related to different sized centers.
3) The late wheels are 14", early ones are 15". According to the Calver book the large wheel obscured the indicators hence the change.
