I also wondered how a Rover P6 (introduced 1963) was in a few scenes of events that took place in 1961. But I concluded that maybe by the time of the trials etc it was '63. My main conclusion was that I need to get out more...
Been a good series to watch. As the opening script said, you couldn't make it up.

You're probably correct Richie. Ward's trial was July '63, Keeler was again in court in December.

The Rover was introduced in October '63, so not a lot of them about, even by December.

Having been out of the country when this was shown, I just caught up with it. I have to admit to exclaiming “541” when MRD was shown with the car, having totally forgotten about this thread.
Very good series with great acting.
The car looked terrific too.
