John Hutchinson's FF

Post by DavidM »

The above, who died recently aged 88, owned a J registered red FF which had Rostyle wheels, so presume it was a Mk1. Is there anyone in the JOC who knew him and the car?

More information about John, he owned Barrowford Metro Garage, Gisburn Road, Colne. The car featured in a Juliette Bravo episode which included a bank robbery in Colne. The car has since been purchased by Chris Clews who is from the London area.

Hope someone can provide some answers, I have e-mailed Dave Barnett so he may know something!!!

regards

J Registered (1970 - 71) would have been a MK2, which also came with Rostyle wheels. Alloy wheels only came in with Mk3 Interceptors and FFs.

I've had a quick look in Ulric's Jensen FF stories and can't find a car that matches your description David. Perhaps it had a personal plate.

There is a very full entry for 127/286 and it was in Juliet Bravo but there is no mention of John Hutchinson owning it. The car is very well known to the club and is still in Cheshire. The current owner may have more information.
