Shocking news.
Given the relative rarity of such a car, let's hope it's too hot to handle and is back, in one piece, where it belongs asap.

Is this news on the Facebook groups?

The poor owner having it for 20 yars too, if he is like and I am sure many others you fall in love with these cars and they are
un-replaceable!!.. I did hear that people i.e car thieves look for the cars they want and sneakily place trackers on them at shows, then they know exactly where they are kept.. not sure how true it is.
I feel so sad for this chap, I had a rusty old transit stolen once, I had had it for years and I just couldn't stop looking for it everywhere where-ever I went, it totally freaked my head out and that was an old rusty transit, the police did find it in the end and I was so so pleased, I sincerely hope this car is found for the ownerImage
It seems a very unusual thing to happen, I know it happens all the time to old Ford Escorts and Capris as I read about it regularly on other forums but we never really hear of it with Interceptors do we.. very bad and sad :(

Very rare. Not a vehicle that would command big bucks as a stolen item, but could have been stolen to order. However thief would be as thick.......... to take an instantly recognisable car. Might be on the way to Queensland by now. Kenny da Stone 8)

Ask neighbours and shops for video footage from that time. Sadly the owner needs to get on the case otherwise no one else will bother.

Brings back memories when my wife's car was stolen 20 odd years ago - don't know what was worse, discovering the car was stolen, or having the police recover it 2 days later and seeing the state of the car (just stolen for a joy ride, abused and dumped in a field - car was written off due to panel damage and abuse to the engine).

So sorry for the owner, and such a nice car too - let's hope that we hear some promising news soon.
