Hope so Eddie - I was out all day Saturday just *shaking down* (Rejen had done all that, but that’s my excuse) so hoping for more this week!

Do you really need an excuse? But no doubt smiling from ear to ear!

Felt guilty about getting her so dirty driving home after Rejen (Martin) had cleaned her so beautifully, so had her cleaned :0) https://www.facebook.com/60667842948129 ... 00?sfns=mo" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Your very tidy garage makes me a little guilty........I have just about every tool available but except for polish etc everything is/was done by mechanics, although nowadays she runs like a new car. The occasional visitor is always amazed at my obvious ability on the tools :D Be very proud. Kenny38

I’m the opposite, Kenny - I’m a mechanical moron (thank God for Rejen and my mechanically-minded mate - and Ian Allan for the surface-to-surface missile on the right). I did a sort of opposite spring clean - over the summer the garage gets cluttered, but leaves enough room to get in and out. Now at least I can spend a Sunday morning or evening in there pretending I know what I’m doing :0)

So - had her back to Rejen again for a new Edelbrock: knew it would need it done as the choke mechanism failed whilst it was at Rejen last year, and the carb was definitely tired. The ever-brilliant Jason and Steve sorted it out and suggested that in addition to the carb, a performance manifold would be a worthwhile addition/upgrade, so went for that - WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!!! Now starts immediately, and pulls like a train - feels like it has another 75hp!! Performance now feels comparable to my 635. Also loads smoother. Very happy happy (again). Just need the weather to improve now, so I can get out and about in her ... cant wait. Also planning to have remainder of (minor) bodywork issues sorted in next few weeks. Pics of old carb off, and new one on.

Thank you so much, please are you able to advise the name and parts for the carb and manifold that you chose as my 440 needs the same and I would love to know

Neil - the manifold is a Edelbrock Performance 440, the Carb is a 750cfm Edelbrock. Jason or Steve would be able to give you the exact model, but I think its a Performer AVS. They set it up for me when they installed it, so they’d know the jets etc they used. Greg
