Having just read the latest JOC magazine, I was saddened to read that Polly Walton, an American lady from Maine, who shipped her car over to the UK to join the JOC drive to Turin a few years ago, has died.
She was a delightful lady, full of life and charming too.
May she rest in peace.

Oh Dear  .. Although I didn't actually know this older lady.. It's all I seem to hearing of lately.. I guess it's our age as I have been to quite a few funerals over the past few years and poor people falling poorly.. it's all so sad

Alison and I are very sorry to hear this sad news, during our epic trip Polly was great company. We all have our own memories of Polly but a few spring to mind, on arrival to Grenoble I remember Alison and I messing about in the underground carpark at the hotel trying to fix an electrical gremlin causing our fans to stop. At our hottest, like a mirage in the desert, Polly appeared with 2 ice cold pints, she said " I can't help you guys but maybe this might help". On another occasion someone asked Polly, "what do you want to do Polly?", She replied, "I don't mind, as long as I'm with you guys". A true loss to the world, a true loss to the Jensen community.
It was a true pleasure to spend 2 full weeks with you Polly.
Simon and Alison.

So sorry to read of Polly's passing, what an amazing woman she was. And thanks for sharing such a lovely photo Simon.
I well remember her ridiculous generosity and, or course, Zac's stoic guardianship of her car on that trip – a repair at every stop. Pleased to say I helped with a couple.
RIP Polly.

I too was saddened by the news, and it drew a tear to my eye whilst reading the latest magazine. A lovely and brave lady, to send her car over The Pond, and be prepared to spend a couple of weeks travelling through Europe with people she basically didn't know, must have been a massive decision. As usual, the friendly club showed through, she went home having been looked after, with some fantastic memories and new friends made.
A little clip from the Lingotto roof, with her and James messing around. She will be sadly missed.

Brilliant video Kev of Polly and James doing the actions to the birdie song! She was very brave to do all you said, especially being well into her 70's.
Best regards Simon.
