Int MkII performance in comparison

Found this while looking for something else, from an Auto Motor und Sport (from Germany) article from 1970 (from Zwischengas.com). It also says that the car topped at 233.7 kmh and that Jensen were rather conservative in their specs- either that or they didn‘t have the roads to test the car properly

Yeah, they‘re all a pleasure to drive, Colin. A benchmark back in 1970 which was mentioned and few cars managed was 1km in 30s, from a standing start.

0-100kph in 8.6 seconds...
Isn't that slower than usually claimed?

I just did a general Google search for "Jensen Interceptor 0-60" ... And this was the result - The figures are indeed quicker than those quoted above.
But recognise the car anyone

Maybe they did the test in 'D' and not in 2nd gear?
