I have just purchased a genuine Jensen Tempo, not really knowing what I had bought other than the guy said it was a Jensen, apparently no other Jensen Tempo 1500 exist, is this correct? It requires a fair amount of work, it is however complete, I will keep you posted on the progress. Collection is scheduled in the next few weeks.

Hi Owen

Not much on Tempo's on here but there are a few members interested in them. Here is a link to a post on them.

If you go to the early vehicle section and put Tempo in the search function you can find some more.

A rare bird indeed
Is this the licence built Tempo Matador with an Austin engine in stead of the original German 2-stroke? It may be useful for body, suspension parts and the like to have a search in Germany where the Tempo was originally made. It later became Hanomag.

It is the Jensen tempo 1500, they all had the BMC engine fitted at this time
The tempo version was the ‘rapid’ I believe rather than a matador, I do stand
to be corrected
