Hi all,

I've been lucky enough to get hold of a 1973 Jensen Healey. I'm 25 and wanting to get myself insured but I'm in need of a valuation.

Can anyone recommend any tips on the best way to get this done please? Even a rough valuation from members would be much appreciated - I can happily send further details/photos for those who are feeling kind.

The car has had 1 previous owner, done 18,000 miles and in complete original and spectacular condition.

Many thanks in advance!

Lewis.

Interesting. Why not join the owners' club and get a valuation from them?
Free to members.
Our Jensen-Healey registrar and associates are a wealth of knowledge on this vehicle.

Welcome Lewis, wow what a find! As our chairman quite rightly says, for a car as interesting as yours you need to join the owners club. Not only can you join in with club events and get your car seen and known to the club ultimately adding value, you will also have access to a wealth of expertees and knowledge which you will find essential with the running of your car, a bi monthly colour magazine full of interesting articles, an annual open day that is totally free to members... and you get a free accurate valuation of your car. Please post pictures of her, it may be that you have something very special there.
All the best
Simon.

Hi Lewis

Was this the white one on ebay a few weeks back? Nearly had a punt on that myself!

Hi Geordie, not used this service now for many years as the insurance company have taken my valuation as 'red', however it used to be Alan Smith would give the car a thorough going over at the international or any other meeting for that matter and then give you a written valuation in the post . I would assume you are referring to a Healey going on your avatar? If that's the case contact Helen your registrar and she will advise you on where to go from here. It would be very helpful if our registrars would share some basic valuations on the forum to allow owners/members a vague idea of their vehicle's rough values? I know it's "how long is a piece of string" but with prices constantly rising it is difficult to keep track on current market values.
All the best Geordie.

In the first instance, I would contact the registrar for your model. The details are in the front of the JOC Magazine.
(I'm currently overseas and don't have those details to hand)
