125-5057 Interceptor Title - Don't know about the car...

Post by RockyUSA »

Saw this on eBay...

Thought a historian, or an owner(?) might be interested... Wouldn't this be great if it was somebody here's car?

125-5057 Interceptor Title

Post by Richard Calver »

John Herd in TN owned the car in 2003. Frank, if you are in touch with him, let him know. Rocky, what's the link to the ebay ad?

I guess John.... Herd!

:D

Rocky

(Actually, that would be really cool if the owner of the car was reunited with an old title. Maybe someday we might find out!)

I added the back just for posterity.

Hi Grant -

"Frank" refers to Frank Schwartz, the East Coast guy who knows every Jensen owner in the USA.

"John" is John Herd - the last known owner of this car from back in 2003. John heard (get it? ) from Frank that his old title was up for sale. Who else would’ve spent $100 on such a piece of paper?

Not sure who "Richard" is.... :D

And "Rocky" is just some guy who spends way too much time on the Internet.

But we love you for that Mr RockyManImage
I think with the way the Internet is now Rocky and all the facebook/Insta stuff etc without the usual's on here, there wouldn't be a JOC forum. We must thank Keith for setting it up.. This is for you Keith in the background there.. I know you will read this so here you go >>> Image so.. thank you too Rocky for your contributions and all the other regular Chaps that are reading this tooImage, I think as DunckyMan said not so long ago.."We're still doing alright here on our forum" as many have now collapsed due to facebook etc, .. Other forums I used to be quite active on are now dead now.. so keep em coming Rocky Balboa :P ...

Presumably, 15 years after it was last heard of, Richard still owns the car?

Hi Grant -

I agree with you (especially with the part about thanking Keith), and I'm not trying to start a controversy, but I might suggest that our demographic, and the cost of our cars (which is a high barrier to entry for the "Facebook Crowd") may explain our forum's "vibrancy".

My guess is that the majority of the members here... No let me describe myself - over 50, "early adopter" of email / interweb forums like this, but resistant to adding a lot of "Apps", like Instagram, FaceBook, Snappy-Cat (Snapchat) and Twitter to my digital arsenal. Happy here because I understand the technology and enjoy the experience. It's easy to understand and use.

I am guessing that if 30-somethings (instead of old guys like me) had lots of Jensen cars (even if they are Jensen-Healeys) in their garages, then this forum wouldn't be motoring along so smoothly.

But I might be wrong.

I'm just saying I'm an old dinosaur, who's ship has passed him by, and should be put out to pasture*. That's why I drive an Interceptor!

* NOTE: That is what my daughters think of me.
