Is it based on a particular Mk1?

I was thinking of Stuart Turners Car.

If it is what I think it is, it may well be BEA 693C/
I was in discussion with Oxford Diecast over two years ago regarding possibly releasing a crystal blue Mk1 for the Interceptor/FF 50th anniversary. However, the discussions stopped and I thought they had dropped the idea.

Have to wait and see what evolves.

Seeing as you can’t order yet and can only register an interest, I presume this is the same deal as the Automodello one that never happened a couple of years back ie if enough people sign up it goes into production, if they don’t it gets shelved.

Yes it was Automodello and despite encouragement and help, as James says, it stalled. They expected people to pay up front with no idea of when (or should I say IF) production would start. I tried to explain that even, as the owner of the car being copied, I would not commit until I had seen the finished product. In the meantime as there is no commitment to buy from this company I have expressed an interest. I am sure I can change the number plates

I may be being a div, but I can’t see any Mk1s there, just Mk2s and MkIIIs.

The funny thing is I have the metallic fawn one. Age and memory loss really are terrible things.

Indeed so. The 4 best things about getting old are
1) You get to meet new people every day
2) You never have to eat yesterday's leftovers
3) You never have to watch reruns of old TV shows

5) Always trying to remember that the number 4 does exist
