Does anyone know if a 1972 SP would have had a Girling master cylinder or the later FAG one please?
Many thanks as always.. Grant

Re: 1972 SP
Grant, my '72 SP (132/5683) has a Girling brake master cylinder - but bear in mind my car is LHD so it might be different compared to the RHD versions.

All the cars I have seen have Girling but they are easily converted if you wish?

Hi, you left wing hairy monster. Grant, I have checked my SP 131/4592 and a passing homeless man on a walking stick said it was indeed a Girling. I gave him equiv. of 50 P but he didn't thank me.What can you do? I am very generous with my charity. One day will repaint from bright orange to purple plum (the Girling) Do you still have that cat? has it recovered? Give my regards to your rather nice wife. I was in UK recently and i have to say you have a really nice house....... kenny38

Re: 1972 SP
The answer is in Richard Calver's book. From 8142 it was a FAG. FAG are metric and not interchangeable with Girling.
