Jensen Commercial Lightweight Truck Livery

I am hoping to get a 1:43 model made of this Jensen built Reynolds Tubes truck, and have a manufacturer very interested.
However, I can only find a black and white photo. A search of many museums related to West Bromwich, motoring, Commercial vehicles and cycling (Reynolds tubes) has been to no avail.

I'm hoping that either a member somewhere is old enough to remember the colours used on the truck, or that a member local to West Bromwich may know of someone who has a relative who drove them, or saw them in the streets in the 1950s.

I look forward to hearing from the researchers of the JOC!

Most likely that was painted in Reynolds company colours. Try researching from that direction. Perhaps other Reynolds lorries or other company materials.

Hi Chris,
The Reynolds company was taken over by another years ago and they don't know what became of archives.
This is the badge that was on all bikes with Reynolds tubing in the 1980s, but it looks too striking to me?
What do others think?
The search continues!

I seem to recall cream on top, that green for the lower, gold lettering. Not at all sure though! Would have been on 70s trucks in Yorkshire when I was a kid.

Wow, john, if you're right, then we 're on our way at last.
The panel at the rear will be black text on the cream perhaps?

I am now reminded that there was a 3 axle version which looks like this, and I'd like to know what the colour scheme was then?

All over green?

You could write to Reynolds and ask them. I do this for non-Jensen research and you'd be surprised how helpful some can be.

There must be a social group (probably informal, pre facebook) of ex employees that meet up from the old times. One of them would know for sure.
Maybe ask Reynolds if their longer serving staff know perhaps someone in the transport section of such a group, could your mail be forwarded to them?

David, that last picture looks great. Are those aluminium wheels on the lorry as well?

Link to a truck forum, which has some pictures I don‘t recall having seen before:

Great pictures Felix, especially the Kilmarnock one. Wonder what the cargo was, looks like chemical flasks and they are only 10 miles from the huge Nobel dynamite factory at Ardeer.
Could this be the lorry that was found and restored in recent years as I was told that was found in the small village of Moscow not far from Kilmarnock?
