Hi Van,

Good luck with the sale... the old saying of “Speed costs money - how fast do you want to spend?” comes to mind.

Electricals are one of the absolutely worst things to spend money on a car (you spend big $$$ on a paint job, you see the result, big $$s on performance, you feel the result, big $$s on electrical and.... the windows go up and down?). Just the price of a new loom is frightening, them if you have to pay someone to install it, it’s even worse.

Hope you still retain a presence on the forum and pop in from time to time - good luck on the next purchase (you sound like you have something in mind?)

Cheers, Dino

Good luck Van. It would be a dull old world if we all liked the same thing. Why not free up a Jensen for someone who still dreams of one?

Most of the wiring loom problems come down to the engine bay loom, and Jensen made it easy as all the differant looms plug together. The engine bay loom is subject to extreme heat plus oil and dirt and as problems arise often years ago when the cars had little value the wiring was bodged to keep the cars running.

Having shiney paint as mentioned is nice but intermittant problems and being stuck at the side of the road soon make the cost of some preventive maintenance seem like money well spent.
