I am interested in any comments members have about Nano technology fire extinguishers.
I have thought about buying the compact JE50/ FP50 units sold by Fire Tool or FirePal respectively.
Although this unit is unlikely to be capable of putting out a major fire. It seems to me it might be able to put out a small fire that was in the first stage of such an event.
The cost of this equipment is under £50 for the small unit.

have you seen this thread(!)

and this one (especially the comment about the (useless) size of extinguishers that most of us carry)

Re: Fire extinguishers
I thought about this last year after reading about a car fire but cannot find the item I identified now.
The closest I can now find is this firetrap system - https://www.firetrace.co.uk/application ... ion-system" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; -although I think I remember that the one I found did away with the fire cylinder; ie it was just a tube you attached to the bonnet and melted when a fire started releasing the fire suppressant powder onto the fire.
edit no sooner had I posted I found it see here https://www.mecatechnic.com/en-GB/blaze ... 91EALw_wcB" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
