RSR CLASSICS

Post by jensen907_123 »

Hi to all,
Concerning my new venture of importing Jensen-Healeys from California, all went quite on the forum front for a while!
It's been a crazy 18 months getting the cars sourced, bought and shipped over to France!
Not to mention the workshop, storage and future showroom that is nearing completion, so that I can get onto getting the first cars out on the European market!
This is just to inform you that I have more than 18 JH's and a couple of GT's (not to mention 2 Lotus Europas) in stock and to invite you to visit our web site https://rsrclassics.com/, which is on line in a basic form for the moment.
The pages are in English and French, so don't panic on the French text on the home page!
I will be bringing my demonstrator 'Roadsport' version to Le Mans Classic this summer, should be fun with 210 bhp under the bonnet!!
I will keep you all up to speed on developments.

Best

There may be quite a few interested parties in the Netherlands and Belgium for really good LHD Jensen-Healeys and GT's, preferably with DellÓrto's to Swiss/Spanish/Portugese spec, the 1120 series if I am correct. 45mm Dellorto's and or 2.2ltr are also in demand as are 15" wheels with modern tyres.

Will you also offer restoration services and parts support?

I specially like the ventilated brake disk (R25?) conversion you propose with the 4 pot callipers. It appears to be a good one. Martin Shirley does something similar.
Even fitting the 4-pot callipers (BCC) on solid (grooved) discs created a very noticeable improvement on my car.

Good luck.

Congratulations Nigel
An incredible start and so much hard work already , driven by great enthusiasm.
We are very proud in JOC France that all this is happening in a small very attractive town in Britany .
Look forward to seeing the car at the LeMans Classic.
Bravo !

This is excellent news Nigel.
When convenient could you let me have a list of the cars you have imported? I am still trying to update the records.

I shall be at Le Mans Classic so hope to see you there.

Re: RSR CLASSICS HAS HORSES!

Hi and firstly thanks for the messages of encouragement.
The fledgling web site has already had a lot of visitors from around the globe which just shows JH’s can excite some people!
Sorry for not replying quicker, but as you’ll appreciate from my Post this morning I am busy with family matters at present.
Just to clarify the modifications that Kees pick up on.
Without Martin’s skills, knowledge and down right bloody mindedness when it comes to Lotus 907’s and JH’s in general, I wouldn’t have dreamt of embarking on such an adventure as RSR! Not only his mechanical prowess, but as a good friend and mentor we feel confident to build up this unique project together.
I’ll be back with more shortly, but here’s a teaser photo of nearly 600 bhp of Martin Shirley magic!!
( NOT to be spread across the Net “si vous plaît!”)
