This is a prime example of why I like G-Man.
I wont try any comedy as people got odd about that, and rude-

BUT.
I have known of this machine as long as he knew of bits here- Less is more & the loudest one in the room is the weakest.
Great to be discreet- its a credit, shall we put on our outfits now G???.....

I know why Grant was induced to buy that TVR...

My guess is he wasn't worried about reliability at the time of purchase...

Hey Grant, my brother had one of these which I managed to use a few times. They are great cars.... and extremely fast. He had two problems:
1. a mouse got inside and ate the leather all around the gear stick and
2. it was too powerful. He accelerated too hard going round a mild curve and that was the end of that. Luckily no injuries. He was slightly concerned that his vision was blurred when he got out but it transpired that in one of the many revolutions the car made his glasses flew off and he found them on the rear parcel shelf.....

TVRs were never forgiving cars. I got the tail out by 90 degrees in a 350i back in the day. Not on a blind bend mind you. Great car, very simple and in fact reliability itself.
