Robert Bell, Bell and Coalville.

Post by PaulMcElhinney »

David Millard has asked me to pass this on.

Reported in The Telegraph this morning (13.12.17) is the death of Bobby Bell formerly of Bell and Coalville of West Horsley, Surrey. They were Jensen dealers operating under our distributors Guy Salmon at Thames Ditton. I knew both Bobby and Guy Salmon well. I attended Guy Salmon's 80th birthday party.

Yes, sad news Paul, I remember reading about it a few weeks ago.

Company still going of course; Bell & Colvill was one of these iconic businesses that was well known to readers of magazines such as Car & Car Conversions, Motorsport, Hot Car, etc, in the '70s.

My first J-H was sold by them. Still have the UK plates with their sticker label.
