Similar? To me a question of chicken and egg - which came first.

To suggest that the P66, a car from 1966, is similar to the Ferrari 250 GT Pininfarina, a car first introduced in 1957, almost 10 years earlier, surely illustrates exactly why the more forward thinking people at JML didn't want to go ahead with it!

You are, as a C-V8 owner, on the wrong side of this argument John :D You should be arguing design continuity!

John is right, it was an outdated style then, whereas the Interceptor was very modern. But now they are both classics and the P66 just looks fabulous - in my biased opinion.

Eric Neale was friendly with Pinin and once lent me some styling books by Pinin, so I am sure they shared design ideas.

Bretheren all. Is my memory fading or was there not a P66 the only one up for sale some time ago? There was as I remember some slightly undignified discussion. Wanted 250K? Did it sell and is it in the club? please reply through my agent. Kenny38

This is the one and only same car.
It has evidently sold and is, I believe on its way to The Netherlands.
As to the selling price, I don't know.

Indeed sold and in The Netherlands now. The new owner does not want to disclose what he paid.....

Thanks Felix. The new owner is very enthusiastic and has the resources to care for the car well. He is already in contact with with the Dutch JOC and I have no doubt that the car will be out and about at events in the future.
