Couple of questions ..,,

What time are we aiming to arrive at Gaydon ?

Also are we parked on hard standing or grass ?

Regards

As far as I know it is all hard standing.

I don't know what the rest are doing but my plan is to get there about 10.30 so I have chance to wonder around the museum before lunch.

Someone contacted me saying they had heard that the concours part of the event had been cancelled and they were worried about how many cars would be there.

The concours has indeed been cancelled due to not many people wanting to take part, but the event itself will be well attended.

Speaking to John Lane last night there have been 41 rooms booked at the hotel, there are 61 adults (and 3 children) booked for the meal on the Saturday night. The drive out on the Saturday is planned and will leave after breakfast (I would guess about 10 am). There is a stop at Cropredy who have agreed to open between 11 and 1. There is also the trip to the Beeches Garden Railway although I think Shaun Winfield needed to know numbers in advance (may be too late).

As has been noted earlier by Chris Reed most of the cars on the Turin trip will also be there. John said they were expecting between 50 and 100 or more cars depending on the weather.

Thanks to the new Pertronix distributor on the C-V8 seizing and shearing the drive shaft I may be attending in my trusty (note the t) old Volvo.

If you would like to attend and haven't booked then please book direct with the Hilton

Note that all the rooms at the club's discounted rate advertised in the magazine have now gone

If you would like to attend the meal then please contact John Lane gs@joc.org.uk, phone number in magazine

Well I will be there now with one of my E30 BMW's that were there for the BMW event recently.

Mine is now having electrical ignition issues and after having two recoveries in 2 weeks, its sitting in disgrace on my drive, not going anywhere!

See some of you on Saturday and of course Sunday but will keep the BMW at a discreet distance.

Hi all
Well if there no concours best stop cleaning.
Is every body going to cropredy then onto the railway gardens.
Or can we just go straight to the gardens.
As I will be driving down on Saturday.
See you all there.

Hi Grant , we as a club are only attending Gaydon on Sunday.

As so many of us only know each other through the forum or social

media I wonder if it worth having our names on a sticker ?

Just a thought , I'll be there ..

Joking aside a sticker is not a bad idea I always miss people I want to talk to at these events.

I might do a sticker with a picture of my cat on :D
