Good pictures Tim.

These are the sort of photos that prospective buyers should see before taking the plunge.

Very neatly done. I also like the way he's tidied up and swept up before taking the photos.

Tim, are those your half wings in the one photo? Are you going to be fitting them? If so any part panels removed from your car I would be interested in making a bid on.

"Nuneaton girder" (sill section) now in place, awaiting fitting of top and side panels.

Floor removed and the footwell/toe box is being cut out, several layers of metal on top of each other - 40+ years of patchwork.

Floor sections all in place and welded to factory specification.

Footwell/toe box in place and secured, all to be repeated on the passenger side!!

Aiming to make the Dartmouth Park/Factory event as the first run out.

In a recent "Cars for Sale" thread another forum member suggested that it was unnecessary to remove the bottom of the front wing in order to fit a new inner sill. These photos illustrate why it is.

Fair point Paul, but sometimes the sills are not corroded enough to warrant cutting off the bottom of the wings are they? We cut the outer sill covers from our convertible and the corrosion was so minimal that we didnt have to go that far up, so we carried out the work without having to, maybe this is what the other forum member was refering to?

So what you did Grant is repair your existing inner sills. The other forum member asserted that you could weld in new inner sills without removing the wing bottoms.

Its a case of doing what you find, when tou find it.
I am blown away by the really awesome efforts we have seen here, great!

Am horrified of the 'other' stories, ie expert & ob lacking in anything like any skill set- really pisses me off, but clearly taking the owners in.
I was asked at Excel, do you trust.... er no.
That was a new Aston expert- these creatures come out when the sun shines- how do they get away with it though??
Imagine a total arsehol, that hasnt even owned an Aston, going out there as a specialist- yup, it makes me sick, They cant even change the plugs on a Virage- gross.

Nice guy I was told, get real, bluffing walter twatt. Likley was also SB!!

you wont get this on mopar/muscle scene, oh yes the scum bag I bought Frank off! But is a small world & your utter bollox will find you out- stings, that cocks like this earn money from folk like us, utterly breath taking.

There is a list of tits, but we cant go there!
Funny thing, these walters seem to have no shame Or worry of being utterly outed- likley would blame someone else, I admire having zero & bluffing, amazing.
Rebuild something with your name on, & put it out there- course they wont.

On the flip side!
There is, happily, a lot of great guys out there- its just, esp as I have been, ideal if you go there first- not mugged off by the prev mentioned.
Just go steady, if in any doubt ask!

Tim if someone from Europe comments that they don't understand what this means don't take offence, I'm English and I haven't got a clue what it means.
