Whats this bit!!??

Post by Kieron »

Were nearly there with the FF, just finding a few lost parts, and identifying others ( as I didn't take the car apart 12 years ago ! )

there's this part, there's 2 of them

Image

they are a straight bit of stainless with a kink at the end...

Thanks for any ideas!!!!

Can't really tell as your photo doesn't show the whole part, but is it the trim piece that goes over the furflex seal at the bottom horizontal section of the door aperture?

I don't think that it is a part of your MK1...they used aluminium seal retainers with 'polka-dot'-pattern. Same material as for tread-plates.

I'm sure Kieron's FF is a Mk 2.

I had understood that the FF is a MK2. Just wanted to tell that looking at his MK1 Interceptor to compare would not be useful.

Not for about ten days I'm afraid Kieron. I'm at Autosport International now until Sunday evening, so it would have to be the following weekend. Perhaps someone else has a pic of the part in situ?

If anyone else if going to Autosport at the NEC, pop in to the Laser Tools Racing stand and say hello.
