Star shaped speaker thingy!

Post by Kieron »

Just getting the FF bits back together for the refit, and noticed that there needs to be a repair on the rear quarter speaker grill.

I was going to put E type Jag round chrome and mesh on all four to cover the hole up, but that might be over kill

A pal says she can do it, but we would need the punch to make the star shape,

Before I trawl the world to get one / have one made / reinvent the wheel!? does anyone have one already that we can borrow, buy or steal please?

Thanks

K

tons of these on e-bay for little to no serious money whatsoever..look up leather punch, star...different sizes...measure the star on your panel..order accordingly

Or go by a leather worker in your area and see if they may have one and pop a few holes for you..

Tash Ranger came around today to do the repairs,
The star shape is 7mm BTW, and from eBay as recommended!
She used a resin and rubber mix to recreate

and ended up like this

not quite invisible, but pretty good..
now just got to reassemble it all now!!!
