Then that's just asking for trouble in such a powerful car.
Re: JIA Supercharged Interceptor written off.
According to their website the Supercharged version does have Traction Control, so perhaps someone had decided to turn it off?AH1951 wrote:Then that's just asking for trouble in such a powerful car.
Re: JIA Supercharged Interceptor written off.
I had missed that.
Anyway, shouldn't speculate, we'll probably get to know the cause.

Still with less work than mine, even in it's current state. No airbags?
Re: JIA Supercharged Interceptor written off.

Re: JIA Supercharged Interceptor written off.

Depends what speed he was going, the assumption here is that it was going fast. Crumple zones all day long. Cars without don't disparate the energy. Having been in a serious crash 18 months ago I was fortunate to walk away without a scratch, I would shudder to think what would have happened to me and other if I was in the Interceptor!Keith wrote:Indeed, and looking at the photos it looks like both doors would still open. The massive strength of the Interceptor chassis/tub has saved many lives over the years, so there lies the question: is it better to have crumple zones or a massively strong car?R.D.
