If it is NOT a Trident, it must be the car that became the Trident - the TVR prototype. The registration seems early enough to support this.

It does have a strange mix of sophistication and budget features. The steel artillery wheels are out of place. A skilled amateur build on an earlier chassis?

The Nissan Figaro is not an uncommon sight on the roads of the UK. I guess they're getting quite old now but still have a loyal following.
