I won't name the car, but it has to be an Australian picture as that body shape was only available from Buckle Motors of Sydney.

Yes, the two taxis are Holdens. I also like the enormously over-loaded beer delivery going on at the lefthand margin.
Are you saying that it was an Aussie car? I've no idea but would have guessed Goggomobil maybe?

I reckon it's taken on Elizabeth Street, near Central Station but, I have no idea about the car. It does look like a Goggomobil type of car though.

Looking at the people it seems bigger than a standard car or is it just the way the photograph has been taken?

Yes, 40% bigger than normal. Based on a Dodge Magnum.

It is a Goggomobil Dart produced under licence in Australia with a fibre glass body (Wikipedia)

It's that mash-up car they use in car insurance adverts, or breakdown cover adverts. It's a MerRenauFiat.

That strange looking car is a Buckle. Made to order in mid to late 50's Australia. Really a motor cycle ....no reverse oif course for all those mostly men without a car/licence. Kenny38
