I have always loved the look of the Bitter, sadly they rot badly and since the chap who ran the the club in the UK died the mark in the UK has struggled. There was one at a Gaydon meeting recently in the red with a white leather interior.

That's interesting information. The Bitter SC was one of the cars that I was looking to buy in the mid 90's, but I never managed to find one to even look at, let alone buy.

They did not have a reputation for bad corrosion then, but at the time they would have only been around 10 years or less old. Sounds like it's a good thing I didn't manage to find one...

The Senators suffered badly with corrosion (when did you last see one?) that with probably dubious corrosion protection once the new panels had been fitted its not a surprise, sad because they are a great looking car. The Senator was a great mile muncher and some had great engines. A mate bought an ex Police Senator with 150k miles on it and it drove great.

The Senator was already a copy of a Ferrari, the Pinin prototype.

That particular car is heavily modified.
The standard cabriolet, below, looks better.
