Nope, it’s an easy one… much rarer for those of us in the USA!

It’s really a 1962 Daimler SP250.

It’s set up for vintage racing.

Its the old riddle.....When is a dart not a dart? when its a Daimler... :D

I believe in the USA Daimler had issues with the Dodge Dart moniker. Daimler along with Dodge also had Hemi head V8's (in their SP250's and Majestic Majors) :)

My one is not a Dart. It's not an SP250.

It's a Tyler, basically a recreation from a company that also supplied spare panels for Darts

You're good! Only one Tyler recreation was made. Not surprising since they took a car with the superb Turner-designed V8, and challenging styling, then discarded the engine and reproduced the styling.

It's basically a Cobra replica with Rover V8, panelled like an SP250.

Interestingly DVLA says it is an MG.

I've always liked the Daimler Dart, but then again I like the C-V8 :-)

I've got a soft spot for it too, but the replica fails the "petrol station" test: explaining to the person at the next pump what it is. "Yes, it's a replica Cobra but voluntarily topped off with a body that looks like an ugly fish out of water."
Definitely have an original though. A gentleman's sports car that can be driven with your hat in place.

Is it an MGB prototype as it says under the picture?

Stephen has just named the image like that to put you off.
It's a Daimler SP252. It's a styling upgrade for the SP250. The front end more closely resembles an MGB than the original SP250.
