On the wheels, Triumphs of the time had larger than the normal 13" which is why some have speculated it's a re bodied triumph special.kees wrote:The wheels seem fairly large for the period and the bonnet is very low, vents at the rear: UK GRP body on VW-platform?

They did not. My Spitfire MkIII had standard 13" rims. All Heralds, Vitesses, Spitfires ad GT6's had 13" x 3,5/4,5" rims.
The bigger wheels were found on the TR's.

Could this be it? Although even the owner doesn't know what it is.

Very good!!!!!
I do not think it is the same car however but very likely one of the same experiment/series? Or perhaps modified in later life?
The original retouched (not photo shopped) picture may be a bit misleading about the shut lines and details.

Re: Name That Car
I think you've hit the nail on the head. It does have large wheels and a VW based kit-car would make perfect sense to me.kees wrote:The wheels seem fairly large for the period and the bonnet is very low, vents at the rear: UK GRP body on VW-platform?

The car behind the Interceptor? And if anybody has any info on this particular Interceptor, we'd also be grateful.

Re: Name That Car
Also known as Deep-Sanderson. Many years ago a few of these cars were found in an abandoned ship container in the Rotterdam Harbour. I was thinking hard to get one of these. They were probably to expensive for my wallet, cannot remember, but I have always regretted not to have gotten one. They had a very light, compact novel V-8engine.
The car was described in a magazine that also featured Jensen-Healey.

Re: Name That Car
I have just read about the history of Monica on Wikki so it must be true. However, I was surprised to see both a Vignale and a Jensen connection in the development of the car. Learn something new everyday.
