Am I the only one who finds the pictures above distasteful. The title here is OUCH!! a good idea for the prangs that make us smile, cringe and sometimes feel desperately sorry for the owner who has lost their pride and joy, but 3 people have died and the families surely deserve better than ghouls picking over the aftermath taking pictures and passing them around.

In no way way this meant to be in any way amusing or funny. And to be honest I‘m not sure which accidents, if any, are funny. In one accident the two people in the Cobra were apparently hurled out of the car and killed. In the other accident, a frontal collision, the person in the other car was killed. I found it noteworthy for two reasons. While the Jensen is not a Cobra, it‘s not a 2CV either, and my wife always (always!) makes me promise to drive safely when I head off with the Jensen- especially when I have the kids in the back. I also have somewhat mixed feelings about the Cobra replicas. They were race cars. Listen to Bill Cosby‘s 200 MPH, about Shelby selling him the Cobra, and him getting delivery of the car (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3-JQksYxgM0" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;).

I do not know how I missed seeing the other car.
This is in fact the number 1 cause of all accidents on the roads in the UK (yes I know you are in Sweden), accounting as the main contributory factor in 42% of all accidents in 2016. Speeding by contrast is the main factor in 5%, impairment by Alcohol 4%, impairment by illicit or medicinal drugs 1% and using a mobile phone at less than 1%.
Speed was the overwhelming factor in this accident.
I should add that the reason I did not see him may be that he is believed to have been travelling at about three times the speed limit. And he should have come to a stop.
The speed limit in this junction is only 40 kph. (25 mph)

Was he still smiling when he stepped out of the wreckage? I imagine that he probably was.

Very odd!
I had an email notification of a new posting which showed an Aston DB6 (I think) a little worse for wear but now it's picture’s vanished.

I was going to respond by saying despite the extensive damage, in view of the value of the car, it's probably viable to be restored and upgraded.
Then there's this picture I came across recently.

I puzzled for some time as to the car's identity but looking through the car's rear window aperture to the dashboard I reckon it's an Aston DB4.
It's remarkable that there's so little damage to the roof and possibly the car spun around and hit a tree on the right hand side with all the energy dispersing itself through distortion in the bodywork.
I recently had a similar 'miscalculation' in my CV8 but was luckier in destroying only a rear over-rider.
