One of just 337 production examples of the Toyota 2000GT was cruising down a Japanese road earlier this month when an ancient tree, 5 feet in thickness, toppled onto it. The young driver was luckily not badly hurt.

Someone has already built a new body for one of these from alloy so it may well rise again, seeing as it has a million pound price tag.

Unfortunately this type of RTC is getting to be more common. I attended a number of similar ones when I was working. The annoying thing is they still allow these wannabe F1 prats loose in cars they cannot handle :roll:

RE: NBC Youtube coverage.
That must be the worst use of a "movie" camera ever. It might as well have been still photos until the final shot. Although in his favour, the camerman had a very steady hand!

Sorry to read of your misfortune Barrie. Hope all occupants are fine....and the Rolls can be repaired.
