Ouch !!
Re: Ouch !!
It was my fault, apparently.
I've lost my NCB.
All the lights were out of order.
I had been doing 40 kph in a 40 kph limit and had stopped, before moving forward.
Porsche did not stop and was doing 120 kph in a 40 kph limit.
But his road had priority.
His car was not even visible at the time I pulled out.
Damage to red Porsche £87,506-60.
Assumed to be a write-off.

Re: Ouch !!
I think I'd contest that. Surely a speeding driver, at so much over the posted speed limit MUST be partly to blame?AH1951 wrote:It was my fault, apparently.

Re: Ouch !!
You would think so, Martin, but after 53 weeks of deliberations, and as it's unlikely I'll ever live in Europe again, I'm just giving up.
His speed is my estimate from his sudden arrival and extensive damage.
"My word against his." the insurance guy said!

The good things with these mass production classics from Stuttgart is that you can buy another one next day, even in the same colour

With it's matt paintwork and black chrome, IMHO somebody with money than taste, and an ego bigger than the engine, of which the driver patently had little control over either!
