The one pictured by Tim is clearly an F registration, I think PWO 393F, this one is RAX 40G, so a different car.

pwo393f is 116/2856 - no photos or info on this car apart from last heard of in 2013 and, therefore, recorded as a survivor.

I agree but mostly due to the foul language contained in some of the posts.
Micky taking of someone who disagrees with most of us, as you rightly suggest Matt, does not help any of us, nor the standing JOC.

I have started to censor some of the foul language (by non-forum member) quoted in the posts. I have also removed my light hearted mickey taking.

I can see that that is the pragmatic course of action, but my take is that there is a big difference between ganging up to take the mickey out of someone who has a different point of view (which is just bullying) and exposing a foul-mouthed and abusive fantasist who every single person here knows is trying to pass off one of 'our' cars as something it isn't. It may not have been to my taste, but that poor bloke who modded the orange car with the best intentions got a load more abuse here and he wasn't even claiming to be a wizard.
Plus I guess we are all bored, and hostile and bonkers after so long in lockdown so my apologies to fellow owners if any of my posts have offended them.

First off, I don't think much of the recent postings, particularly the extracts from FB containing bad language which are not appropriate on this forum to be frank.
However, as nutty most of us find the claims made by the owner(s) about this car, I don't believe that when he said "Goodwood", that he actually said he'd be at "Goodwood Revival" or, "Goodwood Festival of Speed".
Perhaps he's simply driving around his field, which is in Goodwood.

back to important things I have taken the 2 photos of 116/2856 but I am not sure if it is a survivor. Could either of those that posted the photos let me know when they were taken and if the car is still a survivor. TVM.

I found an old thread that Mike Williams posted on 18 years ago regarding PWO, he was trying to find out more about it then..Most interesting, but even back then it seemed to be on the missing list, here is Mikes Inquiry >>

It shows signs of being an attractive car when they have finished and the engine noise is awesome.

I'm the same opinion as Grant. This car is a design icone and you can only worsen it by changing something. Okay if you want to add Weber's (quite for sure they're producing an interesting sound) then get the bonnet completely off and redesign it in glassfibre but with the shape of the Jensen.
But for what? Grant old guy you remember our discussion about the Holley carb? First I was absolutely disappointed, but now in connection with an open air filter the car is working quite well, if I'm cruising at around 70 km/h (more is not allowed in West Vlanderen), at little bit music on, roof top open, I'm hearing - nothing from the engine
That's enjoying life.
Pushing the throttle a sonor sound comes from the mufflers (intend to replace them by INOX because they're worn) as well from the carb and you know he is consuming fuel like hell - but who cares?

A great car, my first vintage cruiser, racing with a Jensen seems to be strange for me...
Only show tuning I'll try again is lowering the car in the front - it looked such great
