Blue-SP wrote: Wed Jun 15, 2022 7:23 pm Grant, I can help you on this, they are definitely not Wolfrace wheels as he says in the original blurb. They look to be an old Appliance wheel from the 70’s which we used to stock, they went out of business years ago, or they may be just a regular Magnum 500 center welded to a steel wheel and chrome effect paint.
HiYa JohnImageI think in an old posting I couldn't see what the wheels were, but since have looked carefully and they are banded Rostyles John and as you say Chrome effect powder/paint.
I remember the chrome appliance JohnMan..I loved them and had them on one of my 3.0 Capris back in the 80'sImageLoved them and still love them nowImage
Here you go JohnMan, here is a good screen-shot of the banded Chrome effect gooses on the Manual carImage >>>

Well, you know my view! (Fairly positive, if you have forgotten). If you are going to have a carb sticking up through the bonnet, I'd rather a neat box around it than those attempts to "blend it in" where the whole bonnet ends up ruined.

Agreed, that bits not good and I don’t necessarily like all of it. Hot rodding etc isn't my thing at all but if someone puts effort into the car himself for his pleasure then thats ok by me. All older cars are like “sculptures on wheels” and its great to see them out there in all their forms.

If that car is meant to go, why don't you ever see it go? All you ever see it do is stand around and pretend like it can go :D

It was never intended to just "go". It is simply artistic theatre of the engine bay. Perhaps a form of static street theatre. It worked for you. We all have our obsessions secret or otherwise. kenny38

But you wanted to see it go like a Cat on a Hot Tin Roof.

Note:

The car was seen being pushed into Goodwood due to overheating problems.

The Car maybe at Goodwood but it is not a GRRC event and has nothing to do with Goodwood. You actually have to pay to attend the Players Events.

Hi, I took the car to Players Classic as a dry run before the FOS.

Hi, yes the car goes. 250miles of road testing and now retired from the public highways because it’s just too dangerous for that. The car pulls huge power from 1,000 rpm. Will not be seen again in public until FOS 2023. Have been given the use of an airfield for more testing but I have to get a new radiator made first. All during Goodwood we were still testing. Last took the car to the GRRC Breakfast Club and got the thumbs up from Max Chiltern once he saw the engine dyno sheet and how the car works to make horsepower. The car was a huge talking point at the FOS this year making 4 years of extremely hard work more than worthwhile.
